a text, a yes and you were here in less an an hour. we sped off to farm-mart and had the best wine and pork nuckle of our lives. on other days, it was your bawdy humour that kept my nerves alive. you make me laugh and the gloom mattered no more. you recognised the confinement of home and forced me out, kept me going even though my brace gingerly held up. nowhere really to go but i am to smile again amid the pain...
By Simone Weil :
Do not allow yourself to be imprisoned by any affection. Keep your solitude. The day, if it ever comes, when you are given true affection there will be no opposition between interior solitude and friendship, quite the reverse. It is even by this infallible sign that you will recognize it.
